冷やし中華
他の国では、元々冷たい麺を食べる文化が少ない
中華が付いているが日本発祥
冷製パスタはサラダに近い認識らしい
冷やし中華の発祥については諸説ありますが、
一つは東京都神田神保町の揚子江菜館、もう一つは宮城県仙台市錦町の龍亭が
発祥ではないかと言われている
トルコライス
トルコという名前が付いているが長崎のご当地グルメ
実はトルコ料理に同じものは、ありません
また、トルコはイスラム圏であるため、多くの場合、豚肉食は忌避されています。
色々な料理が一緒盛りの料理
トルコライスは1950年代に誕生したとされていますが、名前の由来も
メニューの内容も、はっきりしたことは分かっていないそうです
カルピス
カルピスは英語圏だと牛の尿というかなりやばい意味に聞こえるらしい
7月7日は「カルピスの日」
これは1919年の7月7日に乳酸菌飲料のカルピスが初めて発売されたことに由来
ボトルのデザインはカルピスの原液の入っているボトルには
特徴的な水玉模様が描かれています。
これはカルピスが発売された7月7日が七夕であることから、
天の川の星空をイメージして描かれているものです
アメリカでの名前: アメリカでは「カルピコ」という名前で販売されています
カルピスの由来: カルピスの名前は、「カルシウム」の「カル」と、
仏教用語などで使われるサンスクリット語「サルピス」から取られています
日本軍の補給品: カルピスは日本軍の補給物資でもありました。
海軍では嗜好品だったラムネと違い、カルピスはれっきとした健康飲料でした
ナポリタン
ナポリが入っているが日本発祥の料理
イタリア人はパスタにケチャップがありえないと言っているらしい
名前の由来はナポリタンという名前は、トマトソースを使ったパスタが
ナポリ風と呼ばれることからきています
誕生地はナポリタンの誕生地は、横浜にあるホテル「ニューグランド」
元祖のナポリタンにはケチャップは使われていません。
本格的なナポリタンを作るのに使われるものは
ケチャップではなく生のトマトと水煮のトマトです
ナポリタンは、茹で置きした麺をさらに炒めてから使うことが一般的です
ポッキー
味には問題ではなく名前の問題
ポッキーは水ぶくれ等の意味に聞こえてしまう国がある
ヨーロッパ圏ではmikado
東南アジアではrockyで売られているらしい
ポッキーの日:は11月11日は「ポッキー&プリッツの日」です
これは、ポッキーやプリッツを6つ並べると111111に見えることが由来となっています
商品名の変遷: ポッキーが発売された当初の商品名は「チョコテック」でした
しかし、「チョコテック」はすでに他社によって商標登録されていたため
ポッキンという音を立てて折れる擬音語が由来となって
「ポッキー」という商品名に変更されました
